Heart of the Gulf Islands Experience

This expedition will feature the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve (GINPR) as well as lead you to a variety of other must see sites in the Southern Gulf Islands. Through these crystal clear moving waters from the faithful seat of your kayak, you will likely experience everything from sea stars and nudibranchs nestled in colorful seaweed to fascinating topography, not to mention the possible glimpse of our endangered Southern Resident Killer (Orca) Whales! Their 3 pods (J,K,L) can often be seen in search of Chinook Salmon in their Salish Sea.

Kayak rentals

Our fleet includes Delta Kayaks, NDK, Seaward, Current Designs, Wilderness Systems & Necky.  We offer a wide variety of styles and sizes of kayaks to suit every paddling adventure.

Your kayak rental includes all Transport Canada required safety gear plus spray skirt, extra paddle (per group), paddle float, chart and info of intended paddling area (based upon availability).

Wetsuits, drysuits, drybags and camping gear may be rented upon request for an additional cost. Please contact us for your specific gear rental requests.

2 Hour SUP Adventure

Let us be your guide! Our Paddle Canada SUP Instructor will keep you safe and comfortable throughout your journey! 

We begin your experience with an intro SUP paddle stroke and safety lesson followed by a fun and educational adventure in the calm protected waters of our Salish Sea.

2 Day Friends and Family Focus

This adventure is fit for anyone and everyone! Visiting only for a few days?  Feel like getting away and turning the rest of life off? Sink into this adventure with a camping trip to many nearby islands, including North Pender, South Pender, Prevost, Saturna Island, Portland Island to name a few.

Included in this package is your kayak & safety gear, camping equipment, cooking & eating ware, entertaining guide and everlasting memories! 

Adventures in Kayaking Youth Camp

 

At a group pace, we will learn how to work with each other and the sea to move our kayaks efficiently, while exploring beaches with tidal pools, intertidal life and great lasting memories.

Take Thursday night to experience Pender Island under the moonlit sky with just our tarps and sleeping bags! Youth will learn new skills and natural history while their confidence in marine environments grow.

Our highly experienced and qualified instructors keep SAFETY followed by FUN top priority!  This is sure to be a fun camp with many lasting memories.

Bicycle Rentals

Cruise our small islands with easy to ride everywhere bikes. Saturday Market, Sea Star Estate Winery, Twin Island Cidery, 50+ public beach access points, Magic Lake for a swim.  Equipped with cargo storage, you're sure to enjoy your day(s) of adventure on our Pender Islands in the Southern Gulf Islands of BC.

We have a fleet of 10 pedal bicycles sourced from Devinci, a Canadian Company! Most are equipped with disc brakes and are light and easy to ride!

Half Day Inner Harbours Tour

We’ll time the currents specific to your tour date and explore the stunning intertidal life and history of the Canal that separates the Pender Islands, both major Harbours of the Penders, including the protected waters of Beaumont Marine Park within the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve. A perfect midpoint to enjoy a snack/lunch at a historical site within the Southern Gulf Islands.  

2.5 Hour Harbour Tour

We'll get you started by comfortably fitting you in safety gear, followed by a short paddle demonstration and safety talk, followed by exploring the protected coves and tidal zones of Port Browning and Bedwell Harbour, including a visit to the Pender canal that separates North and South Pender Islands. This canal has some of the richest and oldest known cultural history of BC's coastal waters!
