We’ll time the currents specific to your tour date and explore the stunning intertidal life and history of the Canal that separates the Pender Islands, both major Harbours of the Penders, including the protected waters of Beaumont Marine Park within the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve. A perfect midpoint to enjoy a snack/lunch at a historical site within the Southern Gulf Islands.
We'll get you started by comfortably fitting you in safety gear, followed by a short paddle demonstration and safety talk, followed by exploring the protected coves and tidal zones of Port Browning and Bedwell Harbour, including a visit to the Pender canal that separates North and South Pender Islands. This canal has some of the richest and oldest known cultural history of BC's coastal waters!
